Anyone have a good photo showing clutch lever in situ as fitted to a Mk2 Ruby, we reinstalled the engine a while back and now when we go to tighten pinch bolt it looks like the lever is hitting engine crankcase and rubbing against sterring box, so may have put it on backwards. As it the lever is not removeable without lifting rear of engine so it clears frame we just want to double check before proceeding.......or any other suggestions??

Yes, my suggestion would be first, google a7ca archive handbooks. This is often a good first move. Find the 1938 handbook 1725 and scroll down to original page 19, whereupon you will see a photograph showing the original orientation and position of the mk 2 clutch lever. Return here for further advice if this does not solve your problem.

Thank you for all your replies, I think ours is on correctly but not sitting vertical enough and is therefore teh wrong side of the steering box; as far a l can see. Will need to take another look and see if I can get it in the right postion without removing engine mounts and lifting rear of engine.
