What have you done today with your Austin Seven
Hi All

We had a pre Beaulieu run to the Isle of Wight. A highlight was the superb coast road on the south of the island between Ventnor and Freshwater bay.  We met up with a cousin for a very late lunch before catching the 5.30 ferry back to the campsite……….Only to find our sealed plastic crate of food had been ripped open by squirrels  Angry.

We met another Seven Special on the ferry queue back. A lovely machine with big seven back axle, Ruby chassis and Ford front axle.  Unfortunately the owner won’t be at Beaulieu.

Cheers

Howard

Photo of us in the Ferry queue, aisle 13 proved unfortunately prophetic as we limped home with a severe misfire!

(The orange Lib Dem ones would never have done that.)

Hi, probly a dumb question; but is that a wee thingy to pull the engine in and out? It appears to be screwed into a plug’ole? Where can I get one of them? Did you make It?

Sorry… I meant to post this question to Peter Johnson’s post. Didn’t realize it went to everyone. Eeek!

Had a run out today to see a pal of mine and then called in at our local winery to collect some plonk prior to visitor arrivals later this week.

Five litres "Bag-in-Box" two of rosé and one of merlot. 16,50€ a box (That's £1.60 a pint - you can't get beer in the UK for that!)

Yet another use for the little van.

Today we voted, shopped and had a trip to the garden centre.

Cheers

Our Scottish visit continues. After a super weekend with the SA7C at Guildtown (no photos, too busy) we're now in a favourite area of SW Scotland. Today, lunch at one of the best pubs in the area, the Steam Packet at Isle of Whithorn (despite it's name, not an island).

How about £0.99 for a bottle of Banks at Lidl Reckers.

You're no doubt correct Dave, but I was thinking pub prices. Last time I was in one in North Anston my comment was "How much? You ought to be wearing a mask!" SmileSmileSmile

Williams Bar (now known as The Little Mester) or Cutler? There's also the Loyal Trooper and Leeds Arms in South Anston.

Best pint in the area is Anston Cricket Club where I play.
Pint of Bradfield Breweries hand pulled Farmer's Blond for £2.80 currently - there'll be outrage when it gets closer to £3.00!
Maybe see some of you there?...
Best wishes,
Nick

It was the former Wee Willie, now the Little Mester. It's just a walk round the estate from my daughter's on Wellington Ave. I used to go to the Loyal Trooper for the hand pulled but the Landlord seemed more interested in boozing his profits than looking after his wares. The Cutler's OK but my fighting skills are somewhat dulled these days...
