How much does a '29 /'30s AD van or saloon weigh? I'm trying the assess the weight for towing purposes (car on a trailer)
Thanks,

“Borrow” the bathroom scales and weigh each corner in turn. Add them all together. It won’t be exactly right but it will be near enough.

The only real way to know is to weight it, but if you Google the various models you will find some figures which should give you a rough idea e.g. https://www.austinsevenfriends.co.uk/for...p?tid=8146
I would hazard a wild guess that it's somewhere between 9 & 10 cwt...

I weighed our 1929 fabric saloon using bathroom scales.
Came out at at a bit less than 10 cwt (say 500kg), ready for the road and with all the junk we normally carry about with us.

Some years ago I took my RN to the local weigh bridge which was used by HGVs and it looked diminutive, it gave a weight of 600 Kg. I suspect the accuracy as it would be at the bottom end of their scale being more used to 40,000 KG.
