A whisky roll is where you throw £1 coins at a bottle of very nice Malt, the one that lands the closest after a set period of time wins the bottle.

Great fun and great fundraiser.

The Scottish Austin Seven Club’s National
Rally has been a favourite of ours for over 5 decades.

It’s a small event that concentrates on the social side of Austineering, over static displays. 4 cars arrived from Germany and France this year, along with entrants from all over the U.K. A super scenic route was provided for all to enjoy on the Saturday, with suggested lunch stops on route.

There was an abundance of younger people enjoying the weekend, alongside the older generation watching on, a very happy mix.

Barbecues were lit each evening, the Ceilidh with free bar went on well into the night. Self judging provided entertainment and surprise whilst the jazz band walked the field on the Sunday. Craft and autojumble stalls provide. interest and a few bargains, alongside the Streamliner food van for breakfasts and lunch.

The talent show on the Sunday supplied music, dance, prose and mirth in generous proportions - before chat and fond farewells.

If you want to see rows and rows of Austins, this is not the rally for you, if you want fun, friendship food and a party - with your Austin - consider coming along next year, it will be the last full weekend in June.

We highly recommend it, particularly to families.

This was the rally plaque for 2024….

Wording was unashamedly stolen from a home made badge we all enjoyed at the Centenary.
