What have you done today with your Austin Seven

I drove 7hrs round trip to pick up a British A7 engine and gearbox on a left hand drive chassis today up in Connecticut.

I really just got this for parts but now I really want to do some Sherlock Holmes work on this LHD conversion. Not saying I’d do it to my Opal; but it’s super intriguing.

Great video, I notice it still has its alloy chassis number plate attached to the chassis rail alongside the starter motor - check out the number on the A7CA Chassis Register.

Went to the Bongtree fundraising gathering for pancreatic cancer research.

The weather looked good when I left home but 15 miles in the heavens opened so I parked up and hid in a dense wood. The eagle eyed may just discern a lambda sensor in the exhaust.  Mixture was good but it’s still going weak when you floor it at 1,000 rpm.  I suspect that I need the later, bigger jet carrier for my Solex 35MH. 
I also discovered that after about 90 seconds at 70mph I suffered fuel starvation. Could be a blockage or just a safety design feature.
