Which parts of an Austin Seven are most at risk from this Peter?

That's the question Ruairidh, I don't know.  As I understand it, various rubbers and metals can be affected by perishing or corrosion.  Fuel seals , taps  solders etc could be prone. I don't know and there are so many possibilities I just want some reassurance for all, that should something occur we all know where we stand.

I am not aware of specific examples of it affecting any original parts of Austin Sevens, in any way, I have asked a number of times on here and Facebook with zero outcome.

If rubber pipes have been retro fitted to a Seven, they should be replaced with ethanol proof ones.

North Americans have been running on E10 in the USA for years now and nobody I know over there has reported issues with Austin Sevens either.

Renewed mine today. Nippy and RL same price as last year, Good Deal. However, my insurance expires on 25th May. I had not received a renewal notification, so phoned RH 7 days ago. Still no renewal today, so had to phone again today.

Hi All

My renewal notice from RH was received yesterday a full month before the due date.  It is less than last year  Big Grin.

Cheers

For someone insuring a single car, the premium may look as if it has jumped, somewhat. One of the reasons is the increase in legal protection cover, which has increased this year

I've just received my renewal from RHS with a 13% rise over last year so I phoned them and asked if long term customers are being charged extra, the response was to drop the premium to that of last year.
