Today I have driven my Ruby about 40 miles, and a19.6 Crossley about a hundred. Looking at my emails on return home, a number of people have said they hoped I was active with old motor cars, and not looking at tractors. What do these messages mean, I wonder?

Today has been a day of mixed feelings. I have not driven my Seven for the last 5 years due to poor eyesight, however my son has taken me out in it regularly. I am now at the point I cannot see well enough to maintain it so it had to go. I handed over the keys to my son to keep at his house in order the car could be used more regularly. The two of us took it over to his place (him driving) a lovely drive through the Nottinghamshire countryside 22 miles in all to just outside Newark. Very sad to see it go but at the same time happy it’s still in the family and it’s there for me to see and ride in from time to time.

it will still be a Mason car though, John - and people will be thinking of it as yours when they see it out perhaps, when you are in it or not?
And of course, you will probably still be fixing it! :-)

Sad to hear your news, John. I hope that you will still be a contributor to the forum, though.
All the best!

David, Yes I will still be on the forum as I can easily make the print size bigger when viewing on my IPad.

The Citroen GS/GSA break is one of the prettiest cars, although, perhaps, not seen at its best in pale blue.

Hi Tony
I personally now have a similar dismay when dealing with strangers...
