Lord Austin's Signature
#31
..including sixteen requests from autograph hunters, complete with stamped addressed envelopes.

More seriously, a signature would be quite fun printed large on a t-shirt without any other clutter. As would something like pages from the illustrated parts books.

I see that no one has bought the 'Austin' item yet.

Had a look at other items offered by the same seller - for example, a fragment of Walter Scott's poetry written out by an L Lawson, who is said to be the famous Australian poet of that name, and a famous sonnet by Wordsworth (with a strange title) in long hand with his name and a date at the end.  If this latter item were by Wordsworth's hand then it would be worth a lot more than the asking price?  Would you buy either without comparing the handwriting?  As usual, Caveat Emptor.

Why muck about with scraps of paper? Hit the big time in your dad's garden shed: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/ma...um-7039461 t. A sobering story that put the "experts" in, shall we say, rather more than an awkward position.

Working through the enormous collection of materials donated by Adli, I have come across today, a signature of Herbert's that I *do* trust...

What a lovely item; do we know the identity of the second signature?

David Howe has identified the second signature as that of E L Payton. I should have known that, but I was trying to identify a surname beginning with L  Rolleyes
