A7 Starter motor - hair spring?

There appears to be a little oil on the Bendix; this was mentioned earlier in the thread. The other possibility is that your flywheel teeth may be badly worn for which the best cure is a new ring. Fitting this may be a specialist job if you do not have suitable facilities yourself.

Are you after a replacement starter?

I tried to edit this when I realised that the starter in your picture has a hair spring... who knew!
