As an 'old codger' myself, I don't really fancy the idea of becoming 'lost'!

At 82 (83 soon) I don't relish the thought of being sacrificed to the money god !! Sad Sad

I guess that a number of us fall into the drawing pension/economically active sector and the economy could do without us but benefit from us! With the forthcoming "payback" it may be "off to the gulags" for some of us Huh

Good point Orth, often overlooked that even if not working any more, we old codgers do quite a bit of the spending!
I'm pretty sure the parts and tools I've ordered in the last couple of days will keep at least one small business afloat...

I guess it all comes down to the level of risk (death rate) the govt was willing to accept against the damage caused by lockdown (to finances, health, lack of treatment for other illnesses etc etc) and I guess we know what that level is now.
Get your loo rolls back up to stock levels as, given the pictures of beaches etc, I fear it may be back up soon.  Huh

Good afternoon all, I hope everyone is keeping safe. The news of the cancellation of the IAJ Beaulieu comes as no great surprise but it has relieved many of us of a dilemma. To attend with a reduced footfall and risk contamination or to cancel and risk losing our long standing plots.
Oddly many traders will tell you that Beaulieu does not generate the income that it once did. For me it is an opportunity to showcase my wares and generate sales after the event. The real downside is the opportunity to buy in parts from dealers other than A7 specialists particularly lamps and glasses. If anyone is considering selling lamps/glasses I would be pleased to hear from you.
Regards from the creative county - Staffordshire
