A friend locally is digitising a huge collection of letters & photos from the Hidcote Gardens Archives. They relate to the Johnson family who started the Garden in the 1920's (it is now a National Trust property) There are some car photos, but mostly Austin 12 & 20's from the 1920's to 1940's. I have asked him to look out for any Sevens!
He did come across this little Ditty provided by the family Chauffeur - Ernest Daniels, who must have had a Seven! J Greenhill is unknown! It almost scans!

I examined each picture to discover the source of the nut before the reveal, as you do; then eagerly turned the page ???? We would like to see a conclusion to this post. Perhaps it was left there by a mischievous son. Perhaps the trip home will provide the answer. cheers R |
