Should be a lock washer between the gland nut and the locking nut.

Hi Robert

Is flange on the pinion shaft is for a UJ propshaft, (not sure what it’s from). The other is the standard Cardenas block flange?

  Hello Howard,

  yes it's a Ruby flange, screwcut and with a new gland nut fitted to enable a Ruby propshaft to be fitted to an early 1928 axle.
