With the roads dry and salt free (for the moment!) I took the Pytchley out in the watery sunshine to Thirsk for some essential supplies from the supermarket. Parked next to an Austin 7 pal who was out in his 1966 ex Northumberland ambulance. He helped me lift the body onto the Pytchley about 15 years ago and has not seen it on the road until today.
With a large capacity sports sump it takes ages to warm up in the cold weather and the temperature was only approaching normal when I had got back home.
There is a foot of snow forecast for the North Yorkshire moors at the end of the week so it could be a little while before it is out again.
