I have taken the speedo outĀ of the case and can see the input is a worm gear which drives a cog that has 20 teeth
I guess the calibration is changing the the number of teeth on this cog
I have an old/knackered speedo in my box of doom so I attempted to remove this cog however the circlip/ washer that holds the shaft in place was very difficult to remove without destroying it.
I would be interested to know if anyone has changed this cog to calibrate and if so how the clip is designed to be removed
