The name Wartburg was briefly resurrected in 1930 for a sports model of the Austin Seven based Dixi and thus manufactured at Eisenach.
The original Wartburg company operated from 1898 to 1904, the founder, Heinrich Ehrhardt leaving in 1904, with subsequent cars being badged as Dixis.
The Wartburg name was resurrected in 1956, running 'til 1990
