Indeed the way of grounding the rotating points is to contact on the centre bolt. What you need is to replace your brass points cap with one of these (see attached)

This type of cap has an spring loaded contact similar to the RF4 but it has a central carbon brush so that it has a little self lubricating effect. 

You then need a wire securing knob which is the same as the ones on the RF4.   

The photo is of a cap I have made moulds for. So I can supply you one of those if you need. The contact sets I may have a spare but would need to check what I have. 

If you need a replacement cap for the RF4 I have done a mould for those too.
