Barry you might say that you have enough control over your dog the prevent it from soiling the grounds or lifting its leg over someone's pride and joy but unfortunately not all owners are that responsible or have well behaved dogs. I am in full support of the organiser's making a no dog rule and don't understand why you feel the need to air this on the forum, just leave your dog at home or with a family member.
PS I am a dog owner not a dog hater.
i dont think the dog arguement needs thrashing threw again, its been dont.
like it or not, its there venue, there rules. being a dog owner i have to abide by it.
although reading ians rant, some people may have a simular arguement over kids, they are more likely to do more damage. but i take it will be allowed in.
