I expect you're right Parazine, a DK4A is probably the way to go.
However I'm confused about the number of distributor degrees advance the A7 engine requires, my engine (number M184958) is a 2 bearing one so from what you tell me it presumably needs only 3 distributor degrees (6 crank degrees) advance. This is about what I think my distributor is actually delivering.
The engine runs well enough but misfires a bit at high revs and I feel the power drops off - I always start by looking at the ignition side but maybe it's more like plugs/carb etc.
Might I be right in thinking I therefore don't really have an ign. advance problem?
