Winter driving a Ruby

In northern England the local authorities also energetically spread salt on the roads during the winter whenever ice is threatened - but we also get a lot of rain which washes it away again, so it is possible to avoid the worst of it.  And when there is a lot of snow here - which is rare but has happened - they sometimes cannot get out to salt as we don't have snow ploughs, so then there is the chance to drive on/in pure white snow.
