I agree Mike. I have a gauze clean scheduled for every fourth oil change, 10,000 miles but not got there yet after the engine overhaul. I have found that, when i have had the sump off for any reason (except when I first had the car,) The gauze is clean. The sump does tend to get a bit of sludge in the bottom, though. Condensation perhaps?
