complete list of bolts & lengths for a chassis rebuild

From memory:

A Girling Front axle requires:

4 -  5/16 BSF x 1/2" for the brake adjusters

8 -  5/16 BSF x 5/8" for the back plates

4 - brass castellated 1/4 BSF nuts for the actuators.

8 -  3/8 BSF nuts for the damper links

4 - 3/8 BSF nuts for the spring shackles

2 - 1" 3/8 BSF bolts for the damper to front chassis bracket

2 - 1/4 bsf 1 1/4" bot for drag link cups

Girling rear axle requires:

4 -  5/16 BSF x 1/2" for the brake adjusters

6 -  5/16 BSF x 5/8" for the back plates

2 - 5/16 BSF x 5/8" for the back plates beside spring pin cotter

4 - brass castellated 1/4 BSF nuts for the actuators.

8 -  3/8 BSF nuts for the damper links

2 - 5/16 BSF x 1 1/2" for torque tube anchor ball adjuster

12 - 5/16 x 1" for torque tube and side tube

4 - 1/4 BSF  x 1/2" for side adjuster covers

Girling type chassis

4 - 1/4 BSF x 1/2" for centre brake cross shaft bearing housing


If you are using the original cow horns you will also require:

2 - 3/8 BSF x 1"

2 - 3/8 BSF x 1 1/4"
