I've just cleaned two blocks and one head by totally immersing in a rectangular mop bucket for a couple of days and I'm confident that the Citric Acid only dissolves the rust.
The clean up has been excellent and in one case I did a block twice. Problem is that the acid is neutralised after dissolving a certain amount of rust
