Hi Duncan

Although the post has generated lots of very very funny comments I’m not sure any have got the gist of your warning.

Unfortunately I do know what points are.  And I know I’m at risk.  

Does that mean I have to install electronic ignition to stay safe?

Alas, Howard, many of us who do recognise contact points are keenly aware that we are in the ‘high risk’ category, hence the making light of the underlying message. I’m not sure that electronic ignition is the answer. At my age, a pacemaker may be a better investment!
