Had this happen often, Bruce. It's normally caused by the radius on the inner corner of the drum tightening against the square edge of the shoes when you give the drum screws the final pinch. A medium file to the square edge of the linings is the solution. Happens to a different degree from drum to drum depending on the inner radius. They're not all the same.
