This still goes on today and is called car trials.
The Exeter and the Lands End are two examples of this and the Austin Seven is still a popular car for this type of event.
A lot of Chummys and Ulster Reps as well as the modern RTC specials compete.
Check out the MCC trials videos.
I have Marshalled on a few of these trials.
