The three types you may encounter are interchangeable IF the correct lever is fitted as noted above. They are:

AC "M" type, 1932 - 34.
Vintage-AC-Fuel-Pump-Type-T.jpg (Size: 22.55 KB / Downloads: 291)
AC "T" type, 1935 - 39
Car-fuel-pump-AC-type-U-On.jpg (Size: 20.63 KB / Downloads: 291)
AC "U" type, never fitted by the factory to Austin 7's.
Many cars have had "U" type pumps fitted but they are of a larger capacity and may cause problems with flooding. This looks to be what's fitted to your motor Andy.
