Having recently checked the original crankshaft in our family heirloom RN saloon and found a crack in it, I am curious to know how many of us are still using the Austin crank. Before replacement cranks were marketed there was no choice and I and everyone else must have done many thousands of miles without thinking of crank failure at that time.
