Today I drained the petrol tank of my Ruby which I had filled up in preparation for Autokarna, but did not attend in the car as it was not running properly. It yielded some dusty, rusty, silty particles, but surprisingly little. Considering replacing fuel pipe from tank to pump. It was covered in underseal in places and I spotted a damp patch at one point in the length that is unlikely to have come from the torque tube or the gearbox. Four hard to get to pipe clips seem to be holding it in place. Lying on my back with nose pressed to undercarriage and restricted arm movement is not my idea of fun. That will be the next job, but I need to be in the right frame of mind first. Wishing I had a car lift and a high garage roof.
