Hi Jon

I'm not sure you can tell just by the angles of the shackles.  Have you measured between the bolt and the spring eyes?

It could be the axle or rather the radius arms that are causing this.  How straight are the arms?

As for its importance if the car runs in a straight line and feels OK on corners its probably not too critical.
