Just a very quick reply for now - ref Car Number B 6230 Chassis Number 103458 is just a general indication of your cars build date, as not every single car number and chassis number is listed in Wyatt's book.
This may help in finding the Chassis Number - just to mention back in those days in the UK it wasn't called a 'VIN' though it is now on cars built since around the mid to late 1950's.

The link I gave to the Chassis Register page requires you to key in your Registration Number MW 6137 under 'Search by Registration Number:' then click on 'Search', it will take you to the page I posted above.
