Picture 4 is a strange one for me.
It looks to be mainly a bicycle repair and perhaps small manufacturer shop.
The chap on the right has a bicycle frame.
The lad in the middle is showing they can spoke and adjust wheels.
All the advertising around the shop is bicycle.
There may be a parcial wheel for a flat tank motorcycle to the left, fine for a cycle repair shop.
A couple of petrol cans and motorcycle battery's scattered around.
The round bar on the shelf even looks like bicycle / motorcycle frame tube.
Not a workshop I would expect to see what looks like a white's steam car to be worked on?
Tony.
In the post under 'Period Photos' 17-8-17 I posted a picture of my grandfathers Garage in Chard (my dad always called him Father so we all did)

Note- 'Cycles' and 'Motors' - grandfather started the business as a Cycle shop and soon graduated to the new fangled Motor Car !
That is he in the De Dion.
The neighbours got very worried about him storing tins of motor spirit in the back yard.
Cheers, Tony.
