manifold removal - stuck on oversize stud

With stuck, partly broken studs I've had success making up a flat steel bar with a hole drilled half way along to fit over the stud. Put the bar over the stud so the top of the stud passes through the hole and then MIG weld them together. The heat from the welding usually breaks the stud free and the bar lets you turn it out.
