As a motor trimmer I can second JonE 's advice. Sometimes the rod/wire wants to take a shortcut which tends to push the doortrim out. The rod may then be fastened back to the horizontal  timber frame. Some doors have provision to store sidecurtains in a large cavity and in these cases the diagonal rod/wire may obstruct the pocket opening.  cheers  Russell
