In answer to John Mason's question, I took a gamble and purchased this magneto at an autojumble about 20 years ago in full knowledge that it didn't work and with no idea what car it came off. I'm attaching a few photos (hopefully!) that clearly show their differences, the one with the trailing orange wire is the magneto with the anti-clockwise drive.
