I have an Ulsteroid built on what was originally a late Ruby chassis, with the very first of the Gould GRP bodies. The chassis is shortened, and slightly widened at the rear to allow the fitting of a late axle. The Ruby chassis extensions are retained in modified form to support the back of the body. I use a late type two-bearing engine and four speed gearbox with straight cut close ratio primary gears from Keith Rawson. I am running on 15" wheels. I can give details and pictures of specific parts of the car if you need a clue about how to do certain things. Of course most such cars have their own individual combination of parts and modifications, and the engine I use is based on my own ideas, but I find it quite satisfactory.
