A browse through the GKN catalogue shows a bewildering variety of sizes.

23.8D x 61.3L
I see that there is 23.8 x 61.5 (and a 62.4) which would give the fitting error originally described.
Also 24.0D which at a push, (pun intended) could be forced into the yoke.
I had this problem when I went to install an MG Midget UJ into my A7 propshaft. I ordered the correct ones from the Seven Workshop and all was well.
