I am of the opinion that as its you car paint it to please yourself.
There were a lot of Hippy Colours used on A7s in the 1960s.
What you are planning on doing is better than breaking a solid car to make another Fake Ulster.
My current car was metallic green in the 1970s
But was repainted in its original colours in the early 1990s.
Have fun it can always be repainted again.
