It would seen that I have quite a bit of slack in this gearset. The gears themselves look OK and not worn thin. Damned difficult to get an actual measurement with these gears in place

Would anyone know what sort of figure for the mesh of these gears should be or any reason why this might be?
Any thoughts would be most appreciated.
