It appears to be an AC, from the flat scuttle, lack of door handles and sloping rear door edge, so will have 6" brakes. Perhaps a parasol was being used in an attempt to slow down, as there are no friendly looking hedges pictured. This seems like a good idea, next time you are navigating to me I suggest you bring one along.
