Randy, modern Japanese cars are all machine made, so the tolerance are always quite exact. When your Nippy was made, things were hand built, so tolerances were greater. On the EA Sports models, they were made in several batches, and the chaps who made the bodies varied a bit in their aesthetics...some have a flatter top to the tail, others are more rounded. Though I'm less familiar with Nippies, they too would have had wider tolerences. If you are ever in the Everett/Mukilteo area, you can stop by to discuss and I can show you some things. Otherwise, if I am up in the Bellingham area, I will shoot you an email and can offer some advice. I presume you have the Woodrow book which is quite helpful.
