The 3 speed RN exhaust pipe passes through the hole in the NS end of the chassis front cross member      whilst the 4 speed exhaust passes under the end of the cross member for which the combined exhaust manifold flange orientation changed. The 3 speed tailpipe ends just behind and below the rear axle          whilst the 4 speed passes over the rear axle.
