Hi All,
Had an amazing evening at the Nightjar rally. We were one of 3 Austin 7s. Gary Edwards was in his beautiful Swallow Saloon, having driven the 90 miles from Brighton before the event had even started. The other 7, was the PWA7C loan car. Ben Stevens is certainly making the most of his 12 months of use. It turns out that I had seen Ben only 2 weeks earlier, when I was marshalling at the start of the London to Brighton run. He was part of the team driving his university's 1902 James and Browne - and he lives only about 8 miles away from me.
Sorry Steven Kay, we didn't set the scoreboards alight. Alvis and Riley dominated. So I fear we won't be bringing the Inter-Register trophy home.
Everyone had a lot of fun, and thanks to a full entry, it looks like it will continue for another year. I'm looking forward to it already.
Having got home at 1:30 this morning, I'm feeling a bit thick this morning - matching my intellectual performance from the night before.
