Radiator drain tap stuck - am I being stupid?

I can see from your photos that you have a standard Ruby drain tap fitted.

The spring and washer have been removed at some point.

It should be entirely possible to remove this without dismantling the entire front of the car. As mentioned above the tap is a taper seal, as a temporary fix, you could try tapping the front of the arm to resettle it back into the taper.

Pull the leaver up to remove and fit these in situ.
