As far as I know "The Distributor Doctor" is the only source of new springs.
At the same time you need to check for free movement without excessive play.
Beneath the weights is a plate with holes which limit the amount of advance - these are often either worn or the wrong size (there were many, many variants of the DK4) - this can be addressed by welding up and/ or filing.
At the same time check for play in the shaft - new oilite bushes can be obtained from the supplier above.
The Lucas dealer training notes used to be available online and are rather helpful.
