Happened to me two weeks ago, the 2CV with 20/50 recently purchased oil coming from the motor factor. A car at the entrance/exit to a retirement home just pulled out straight in front of me. When questioned they indicated that they were not retired and had no reason to be there. They also refused to give any details, which did not help hide the fact that the car was not taxed as that is immediately indicated on DVLA web site. As all 2CV owners will know, despite the visible damage, one just drives home and looks for a scabby front wing behind the shed, find another headlight and bend the front bumper into an approximate correct shape. Bashed bonnet will be fixed in due course. And after the discussions here on the forum of our specialist insurers I can only repeat that the specialists are there to help, know what we are talking about and understand old motor cars.
