Poorly Ruby
#13
The VP69 shells are a perfect fit in the housing the oil holes line up.
I measured the shells at 1.7490" with an expensive digital caliper.
I measured one of my three bearing cranks at 1.7400" at the centre main.
The other three bearing crank is 1.7245" at the centre main.
I have done some more research and concur that the shells are Norton Con Rod Bearings.
I suspect Stuart Rolt had something to do with these shells as he built a three bearing engine for my father in the late 1970s to early 1980s.
I am pretty sure these were all extra parts collected just in case !!!
