Visibility and colour

Ok, another thought. I've just found an old warning triangle in the shed and I'm going to remove the centre triangle parts so they can go on the spare wheel. But, thinking of Hugh's Leyzne bike unit and other bright lights, is anyone using 2 rechargeables for main rear lighting to enable the lights to be up high either side - hood corners or on hood retainer brackets etc rather than in their low position on the older cars? It would mean one didnt have to worry about wiring runs (and they could be removeable when doing daytime duties when lights really not necessary, and when parked up looking vintage).
