Yes that is bright enough, and it's a lovely colour, it looks great for a van. I'm not sure about a saloon in that colour.
As for on a motorway................. Don't think I would ever choose to take a seven on a motorway. If I had to, then I'd want 3 or 4 large bright flashing orange lights across the back.

They were not expensive and are fully magnetic and readily available on the internet.
Along with the LED lights the look bright in poor lighting conditions.

Around town and on country roads I would expect this slow vehicle sign to make drivers all the more keen to get past. In a modern car I find traffic behind is content with me going at 22 mph in town, and 35 on country lanes. In the 7 they hug too close behind and eventually overtake. I'm told that the led brake lights on the 7 are very bright!
