Just renewed my insurance with RH on my Morgan 4/4, and yes waited a while to 'talk to a human', but at least he didn't ask how many doors my car had, unlike the so-called "Morgan Specialist Insurer" one of many that were no cheaper than RH, and several never even bothered to answer the phone, or call back when requested.
Put the A7 Ruby Insurance on hold until Kop Hill Hillclimb, as 3 of my 4 vehicles need paying for this month !!!! There goes my pension !!!

Hi Everyone
I have experience of recovery of both Poppy and Josie. Once with Josie in France on the way to catch the ferry in St Malo. Service was brilliant with updates of arrival times of recovery truck and assistance on getting onto the ferry.
Poppy was recovered twice now in the UK once locally and once near Coventry. Both times all people involved were extremely helpful.
RH may not be the cheapest but I have found they are the best!

Reassuring answers regarding RH. Thank you once again Emma for the very prompt clarification. Chris KC's comments are spot on - your involvement gives a great deal of confidence.

I contacted Emma to assist as her offer above.
She was then able to explain some of the reasons for the changes and points that I might have missed in comparing with competitors' policies.
The new set up with the Aplan team enabled her to combine my policies which will make my personal admin and renewals much easier in future.
Thank you to all who commented on breakdown cover and particularly the good service from RH,this together with the personal level of help available with a phone call to Emma enabled me to make the decision to stay with RH as trust that any insurance policy will deliver when needed is more important than price.

Having benefited from RH's breakdown cover for the first time last Friday I feel it would be ungracious not to scribble a line or two here by way of thanks, and to let others know I was very pleased with their service.
It's true that we called at a busy time, and consequently waited a little while for pick-up, but it wasn't long, and it was a considerable relief to get ourselves & the car home safe and sound the same evening.
This service is available Europe-wide and as such, in my opinion, worth every penny I pay for it.
I would add that Emma is very approachable and has made a considerable effort on my behalf to answer an unrelated question I put to her at Beaulieu. I'm aware that others have been disappointed by the recent hiccups in data transfer and by increased premiums, and reserve the right to change my mind when renewal comes around! But I still think RH's cover is second to none and great value for what we pay.

I have renewed with RH today but was a bit disappointed to suffer a 12.5% increase. Maybe age is a consideration, but less than 1,000 miles a year ????

Mt grandson has had 2 bad experiences with the RAC with it 9 months.
1st. At 9pm the engine cut out and refused to start. Patrolman arrived after 2 hours and said it was not a roadside fix and arranged a recovery this however was not available for a further 4 hours. When the car was finally home my son checked it over the following morning and changed a blown fuse. The engine fired up immediately and has run fine ever since.
2nd. His car one of the moderns that does not have a spare wheel. On his way back from college at around 4.30pm one afternoon he hit a pothole which resulted in a puncture one that would not re inflate with the pressurised puncture repair kit supplied by the manufacturer. Again called the RAC. Was told he had to pay £40.00 before they would come to him. (This I have except as parts for are not covered.) £40.00 paid by means of a debit card and waited for patrol to arrive. 10pm. No show by RAC so my grandson gave up and phoned his father for a lift home. Now looking for a better brake down deal.
Would you believe it "Her who must be obeyed" refers to my Ruby as the toy.

Today, on the last day of our North West Scotland coastal trip, I had to use the A7 RH Recovery service for the first time in 15-20 years.
50 miles from our intended finish point the pinion gave up on the Chummy, it’s had a hard life and a bit of a time bomb.
We were stopped on a very remote, unclassified road, 30 miles north of Inverness. RH answered immediately and were able to pinpoint our exact location using our phone signal.
We were travelling in two cars and although I had been driving the Chummy, and Tanya the Ulster, it seemed sensible for me to drive in in the Ulster with Willow and Tanya wait with Chummy, Daisy and Poppy for recovery.
She received a text within a few minutes detailing the pick up time, which was adhered to. The lorry recovered the three of them, Chummy and the luggage trailer it had been pulling.
They are delivered to the door 15 minutes after Willow and I arrived back.
The service included two follow up calls to Tanya, checking she was okay and that all was going to plan.
This was faultless service in a remote location - thank you very much RH, none of us ever felt stressed or out of the picture in any way. I may not be a frequent user of this service but my experience today was extremely positive and I would recommend the company to you all.

Just renewed my RH policy today. Good service, thorough on the phone, reasonable cost.
All in all good value and the best terms, if you have an Austin Seven it's a no brainer.

I renewed a couple of weeks ago. I needed the quote quicker than the RH system was currently providing due to commitments, so I contacted Emma. She sorted it out, including updates provided in the evenings. Quote arrived at a reasonable uplift from last year. All renewed for my 17th year with RH. Having had to call them out twice in that time, including on a New Year Day run where we were home before the rest of the run had eaten their main course, I have to say that I genuinely feel reassured to know they have me covered, especially now that we are in the relative wilds of the North East.
Oh and R pleased to hear that it sounds like your holiday was largely saved.
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think!
