3 speed crash gearbox

Evening all. My 1927 gearbox has suddenly developed a problem. I have difficulty engaging third gear (only third gear), when engaged it is noisy and on overrun it makes terrible clattering noise. It feels like something has come undone or come adrift. I would grateful for any advise and any suggestions as to who could deal with this sort of problem preferably in the southeast. Thanks.
